State-of-the-art sports park in central Ohio set to open this fall

A new 57-acre sports complex, Jennings Sports Park, is set to open in Lewis Center, Ohio this fall, offering six fields that can be used for baseball, football, lacrosse, and soccer. Located at 5414 Piatt Road, the park is expected to attract over 500,000 visitors each year and will feature artificial turf fields that can be adapted for various sports.

The project is being overseen by The Windsor Companies, with founder Alexius J. Dorsey expressing a commitment to creating a top-notch facility in Delaware County. The park aims to be a hub for sports, community, and youth development, fostering qualities such as discipline, resilience, and teamwork.

Each field at Jennings Sports Park will be equipped with advanced lighting, a video scoreboard, and high-definition cameras for livestreaming events. A 50,000-square-foot pavilion featuring a concession stand and restroom facilities will be built during the park’s second phase. The park recently secured a $6.7 million bond package approved by the Delaware County Finance Authority for infrastructure improvements.

Brad Jennings, the park’s founder, emphasizes the importance of teaching youth dedication to their craft, with the park serving as a testament to nurturing these values. The project aligns with the vision of creating a state-of-the-art sports facility that will benefit the local community and encourage athletic development among young athletes.
