The University of Delaware’s move to the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision took a step forward with the announcement of nonconference games against Coastal Carolina in 2026 and 2029. The Blue Hens will be joining Conference USA in 2025 after their final season in the Coastal Athletic Association. Coastal Carolina, a member of the Sun Belt Conference, will visit Delaware Stadium in 2026 for the season opener, with a return match at Brooks Stadium in 2029. These will be the first football meetings between the two schools, with Coastal Carolina boasting a successful FBS record since its move up in 2017.
In addition to these matchups, Delaware has also scheduled games against Colorado, Wake Forest, UConn, Virginia, Penn State, James Madison, Buffalo, and more through 2032. Conference USA has not yet announced its future league schedules beyond 2024.
