Two meetings scheduled for a pair of projects

The Ohio Department of Transportation is set to make improvements to the intersection of State Route 315 and Jewett Road in Delaware County. The $2.6 million project aims to enhance safety and reduce congestion in the area. A public meeting is scheduled to be held on July 18 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Powell, where residents can learn more about the project, ask questions, and provide feedback.

In addition, changes are also underway for the U.S. Route 23 corridor between Waldo and Worthington. Various concepts have been introduced to improve travel conditions along this route, ranging from minor adjustments to more significant changes to create a freeway-like environment. Six in-person open house meetings and two online question-and-answer sessions have been scheduled to gather input from the public.

The goal of these projects is to support Columbus as a national logistics hub by improving connectivity and access to northwest Ohio, Michigan, and Canada. Residents are encouraged to attend meetings, ask questions, and share their thoughts to help shape these transportation improvements for the local community.

For more information and to provide comments, visit the project websites for the State Route 315 and Jewett Road Intersection Improvements and US Route 23 Connect on the Ohio Department of Transportation’s website. Comments can also be submitted until the respective deadlines.
