Why are the roads on the Delaware border closing and will Mark Ruffalo be present?

Delaware’s northern border will see two road closures on July 8 as Mark Ruffalo’s upcoming HBO show, “Task,” films in the wooded area near Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania. The show is a spinoff of the popular “Mare of Easttown,” with Ruffalo playing an FBI agent in the Delaware Valley. Road closures on Beaver Dam Road and Smithbridge Road will occur from July 8 to 11 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

“Task” is set in the same universe as “Mare of Easttown” and will follow Ruffalo’s character as he investigates a series of drug-house robberies. The series, directed by Jeremiah Zagar, has been filming around the Delaware River area, with sightings in Philadelphia’s western suburbs and neighboring Pennsylvania towns. While Ruffalo and the crew have been filming near the Delaware border, it is unclear if any scenes will take place in Delaware itself.

Fans of “Mare of Easttown” may be pleased to hear that a possible season 2 is in the works, with Kate Winslet hinting at a return to her role. For any sightings of Mark Ruffalo or the “Task” crew in Delaware, locals are encouraged to reach out to Delaware Online. Mark Ruffalo has also been praised for bringing a touch of Hollywood to various towns and landmarks in Pennsylvania during filming.
