The Powerball jackpot has reset to $20 million with a cash value of $9.5 million after a grand prize winner emerged from Wednesday’s drawing. The winning numbers from the July 3 drawing were 2-26-33-55-57 with a Powerball of 22. The next drawing will be on Saturday, July 6 at 10:59 p.m. ET.
To play Powerball, select five numbers from 1 to 69 for the white balls and one number from 1 to 26 for the red Powerball. If you match all five white balls and the red Powerball, you win the grand prize. There are also other ways to win, such as matching five white balls for $1 million, four white balls and one red Powerball for $50,000, and so on.
Players have the option to add the Power Play for an additional $1 per play, which can multiply non-jackpot winnings up to 10 times. The odds of winning the grand prize are 1 in 292,201,338, while the overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 24.87.
Past Powerball jackpot winners include amounts such as $2.04 billion in November 7, 2022, $1.765 billion in October 11, 2023, and $1.586 billion in January 13, 2016, among others. Powerball drawings are held three times a week, every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday, and tickets may be purchased until the evening of the drawing in various states.
