Boardman Arts Park in Delaware is currently showcasing 12 new photographs on William Street, including two images celebrating local agriculture, diversity, and Appalachian heritage. These photos are part of the Diversity in Delaware Photography Contest, funded by the Ohio Arts Council’s Art Rise Grant. Executive director Roxanne Amidon highlighted how this investment in local artists and businesses is enhancing the Delaware community.
Two winning photographs were created by small business owners Sara Ward and Jess Garrett of Lily and Thyme, who also sell their products at the Delaware Farmer’s Market. They are grateful for the support they have received from the community and are reinvesting their award dollars in Main Street Delaware.
The Main Street Delaware Farmer’s Market, which runs every Saturday through October, features over 60 vendors and is a key part of Delaware’s economic development. Executive director Courtney Hendershot emphasized the importance of supporting small businesses for the benefit of the entire community.
