The Genoa Township’s Police Advisory Committee and Fire/Rescue/EMS Citizen Advisory Committee recently held meetings to discuss various issues affecting the community. The Police Advisory Committee serves as a sounding board for the community, discussing concerns such as house checks and increased taxes. The boundaries between Genoa Township and the City of Westerville were also a topic of discussion.
The Fire/Rescue/EMS Citizen Advisory Committee was updated on a recent fire that burned down a barn on Plumb Road due to an electrical failure. Despite no injuries, some animals were lost in the fire. Both committees are essential in providing feedback and insight to improve public safety in Genoa Township.
Attendees of these meetings include Chief James McMillin, Trustee Mark Antonetz, and various committee members dedicated to serving the community.
