The historic Nemours Estate, located in Greenville, Delaware, was featured on a hot summer day in July 2024, with temperatures reaching 92 degrees. The estate, built in 1910, boasts a 47,000 square foot Mansion with 77 rooms, as well as 200 acres of French-inspired Gardens and a Garage housing a vintage car collection.
Visitors enjoyed guided tours of the estate, taking in the elaborate decorations and sculptures throughout the property. The gardens, modeled after the Palace of Versailles, featured a water fountain, a Bronze and Gold Leaf statue of Achievement, and a Reflecting Pool where the duPont family once swam and boated.
Families like Bebe and her mother Sharon Tishco explored the estate, appreciating the historical architecture and lush gardens. A highlight of the tour was the Chauffeur’s Garage, home to Rolls-Royces and Cadillacs once owned by the duPonts.
