Stewart feels privileged to be leading Carlisle

Julie Stewart, a veteran educator with 29 years of experience at Lima City Schools, is set to start her 30th year in education this August as the new principal at Carlisle Elementary School in Delaware. Stewart was hired by the Delaware City Schools Board of Education in June to replace the former principal and is excited about joining the Delaware community. She describes herself as a strong instructional leader and is committed to maintaining high standards at Carlisle Elementary. Stewart is focused on building relationships with staff, students, and families at the school, emphasizing the importance of creating a supportive and welcoming environment. She has already reached out to staff and teachers to get to know them better before the start of the school year. Stewart believes that Carlisle Elementary and the Delaware school district have a strong family culture and atmosphere, and she is eager to become a part of the Pacer family. She is looking forward to being an active member of the community, participating in events like First Fridays and the farmers market. The 2024-2025 school year at Carlisle Elementary starts on Aug. 14, and Stewart is ready to serve the Delaware City Schools community with enthusiasm and passion.
