The Powerball jackpot has risen to $91 million for Friday’s drawing, as there was no grand prize winner in Wednesday’s drawing. The cash value of the jackpot is $43.7 million. To play Powerball, participants must select five numbers from 1 to 69 for the white balls and one number from 1 to 26 for the red Powerball. There are nine different ways to win, with the grand prize being awarded for matching all five white balls and the red Powerball. The odds of winning the grand prize are 1 in 292,201,338, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 24.87. Participants also have the option to increase their winnings up to 10 times with the Power Play for an additional cost.
Powerball has produced some of the largest lottery jackpots in history, including a $2.04 billion jackpot in November 2022 in California. Other notable jackpots include $1.765 billion in October 2023 in California and $1.3 billion in April 2024 in Oregon. With the current jackpot at $91 million, players have the chance to win big with the popular lottery game.
