Ohio Department of Natural Resources prepares for festive fair event

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources is celebrating its 75th anniversary at the Ohio State Fair’s Natural Resources Park. The park offers a variety of attractions, including bird of prey exhibits, kayaking, and interactive displays about Ohio’s natural resources. Visitors can participate in activities such as fishing and kayaking, as well as learn about minerals, wildlife, and ancient Ohio through hands-on exhibits. Special events celebrating Smokey Bear’s 80th birthday and the state fossil fish, the dunkleosteus, are also planned. The Natural Resources Park Amphitheater will feature regular entertainment, including the Great Lakes Timber Show and turkey call competitions.
