Cole Perdue, a junior football player at Yorktown High School, has been named the Delaware County Athlete of the Week for his outstanding performance during the week of Monday, Aug. 19 to Saturday, Aug. 24. In a game against Anderson on Friday, Aug. 23, Perdue scored two touchdowns, one of which was a pick-six, helping his team secure a 42-2 victory.
The Ball State Daily News has initiated this program to recognize athletes who have shown exceptional skills or had a breakthrough moment during the week. Candidates are selected and the community is invited to vote for their favorite.
