The Everett Theatre in Middletown is gearing up for an exciting autumn season with a lineup of events and performances celebrating film, theater, and the visual arts. The highlight of the season will be a special 35th-anniversary screening of “Dead Poets Society” on Sept. 7, featuring a pre-screening reception with memorabilia, props, appetizers, a cash bar, merchandise, and a silent auction.
Following the film screening, the fall theatrical season will kick off with “The Prom,” a musical about a high school student trying to take her girlfriend to the prom. The theater will also be holding auditions for “Anastasia: The Musical” and offering visual arts classes at The Gibby.
Other highlights of the season include a stage play exploring Edgar Allan Poe’s final days, the Annual Gala featuring a Casino Night theme, and a season reveal event in October. The theater aims to bring the community together through creativity and entertainment, offering a variety of events for all ages and interests.
