Portuguese football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has expressed his happiness at Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr, where he joined in 2023 for a record fee. In an interview with Portuguese channel NOW, Ronaldo revealed his intention to end his career at the club in two or three years, ruling out a return to his first club Sporting Lisbon. Despite not winning any trophies yet with Al Nassr, Ronaldo remains committed to the club and the country, stating his desire to continue playing in Saudi Arabia.
With 50 goals in 48 appearances for Al Nassr, Ronaldo’s impact in the Saudi Pro League has been significant. His contract is estimated to be worth over $220 million. Despite his advancing age, Ronaldo continues to perform at a high level, recently leading Portugal to the quarterfinals of Euro 2024. He plans to keep playing for his country and hopes to feature in the upcoming Nations League matches.
After retiring from playing, Ronaldo has no interest in pursuing a coaching career, stating that he sees himself doing other things outside of football. For now, he remains focused on helping both Al Nassr and the Portuguese national team achieve their goals. Ronaldo’s future plans remain uncertain, but for now, he is content with his current situation at Al Nassr.
