The University of Hawaii football team secured a 35-14 win over Delaware State in their season opener at the Clarence T.C. Ching Complex. Quarterback Brayden Schager had an impressive performance, throwing two touchdowns and rushing for two more. The Rainbow Warriors scored 21 unanswered points in the second half, with Schager leading the charge. The defense forced Delaware State to punt on multiple possessions, with linebacker Jamih Otis standing out with 11 tackles. Tylan Hines also made a significant impact with a 44-yard punt return for a touchdown. The Warriors will face UCLA next Saturday in another home game.
