NRDC Action Votes has launched a campaign supporting Collin O’Mara, highlighting his environmental and clean energy jobs record. The ad features Delaware animals benefiting from O’Mara’s efforts as Governor Markell’s Secretary of Natural Resources and Environmental Control. The ad is part of a $500,000 coalition push from environmental groups backing O’Mara. Jocelyn Steinberg, Director of NRDC Action Votes, praised O’Mara for standing up to big polluters and securing millions for conservation efforts.
As CEO of the National Wildlife Federation, O’Mara played a crucial role in passing environmental legislation and securing funding for Delaware’s environmental initiatives. He has a strong track record of reducing air pollution, promoting clean energy, and supporting environmental justice. O’Mara’s role in creating the Mid-Atlantic Clean Hydrogen Hub will create thousands of union jobs in Delaware.
Before his role at the National Wildlife Federation, O’Mara served as Secretary of Natural Resources and Environmental Control under Governor Jack Markell. During his tenure, he achieved significant reductions in air pollution, enacted recycling initiatives, and promoted clean energy. NRDC Action Votes, affiliated with the NRDC Action Fund, aims to support initiatives that combat climate change, promote healthy communities, and protect nature and wildlife.
