New Delaware Way group to spend $500k on media campaign spotlighting Lt. Gov. Hall-Long’s ethical controversies for targeted voters

Citizens for a New Delaware Way (CNDW) has announced plans to spend over $1 million in the 2024 primary election, with an initial $500,000 to fund a media campaign against Lieutenant Governor Bethany Hall-Long’s candidacy for Governor. The campaign will target Hall-Long’s alleged unethical practices, including funneling campaign dollars to her husband and accepting illegal donations. Ads will be circulated through cable TV, streaming, digital, social media, and direct mail to over 50,000 prime Democratic voters in Delaware.

The campaign highlights concerns about Hall-Long’s ethics record and her failure to submit a financial audit to the State Board of Elections. It also raises alarm about allegations of her husband misusing his authority to obtain voting lists and bully residents into supporting her campaign. CNDW aims to encourage voters to reconsider their support for Hall-Long, emphasizing the importance of ethical leadership in promoting transparency and judicial diversity.

PAC spokesperson Chris Coffey emphasized the need for Delawareans to vote for candidates who prioritize integrity and ethical decision-making. The campaign’s message is summed up in the ad “Untrustworthy,” which questions Hall-Long’s trustworthiness given her history of scandals. As the election nears, CNDW is urging voters to opt for a new Delaware Way that embodies positive change and visionary leadership. Press inquiries can be directed to press@citizenspac2024.com.
