The Olentangy Local School District’s four high schools will be hosting alumni events in conjunction with their homecoming festivities in the upcoming weeks. Olentangy High School and Olentangy Berlin High School will be hosting gatherings for alumni before their football games on September 13th, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at their respective stadiums. Meanwhile, Liberty and Orange high schools will host their alumni events on September 27th at the same time.
Superintendent Todd Meyer emphasized the importance of maintaining a relationship with alumni and fostering connections with their alma maters. He encourages alumni to participate in the events and even apply to be an alumni liaison to help connect with other graduates. The alumni liaisons will be responsible for promoting gatherings, representing alumni at events, growing an alumni database, and assisting with planning future opportunities for graduates to connect.
Tickets to the homecoming games, which start at 7 p.m., will still need to be purchased either online or at the stadium box offices. The district is excited to welcome back alumni and hopes to provide opportunities for former students to connect with each other and their schools.
