The Delaware County Fair is quickly approaching, and the opportunity to support local 4-H and FFA exhibitors is here. The Delaware County Junior Fair Buyers Club is celebrating its 10th year and is inviting new members to join. This club allows individuals, businesses, and organizations to pool their contributions to purchase projects at the Junior Fair Sale auctions. Since its inception, the Buyers Club has spent almost $60,000 and purchased projects from 100 different exhibitors. Any animals bought by the club are resold to maximize the investment made by contributors.
Former 4-H exhibitor, Scott Hagerty, highlights the importance of supporting the youth in agriculture, even when unable to attend the fair in person. Becoming a member of the Buyers Club allows individuals to show their support and invest in the future of 4-H and FFA youth in Delaware County.
For those interested in joining the Delaware County Buyers Club, the application form can be found on the Delaware County Fair website under the Junior Fair tab. Donations are accepted at any time, including during the week of the fair. The auctions will be held on September 17th and 18th, providing an opportunity for new bidders to participate and support the hard work of local youth.
By becoming a member of the Buyers Club, individuals can make a difference in the lives of 4-H and FFA exhibitors and contribute to the success of the upcoming Delaware County Fair. Join now to support and invest in the future of agriculture in Delaware County.
