The U.S. Embassy in Israel has lifted its shelter-in-place order for U.S. government employees and their families due to a diminished threat of missile barrages. Previous travel restrictions remain in place, as the embassy continues to monitor the security situation closely. Hezbollah claimed to have forced Israeli soldiers to retreat from the Lebanese town of Adaisseh after clashes between the two sides. The IDF has not yet commented on these claims, marking the first known ground clashes in Lebanon between the two groups.
Israel has deployed additional ground troops into Lebanon, including infantry and armored units targeting Hezbollah terror targets and infrastructure in the south. The IDF stated that these troops are accompanied by air support and artillery brigades. Meanwhile, Iran has warned of an even tougher response to any Israeli retaliation following its missile strikes on Israel. Iran claims its strikes were a legitimate defensive right and aimed at restoring geopolitical deterrence in the region. Finally, Israeli officials reported that Iran launched 180 ballistic missiles at Israeli military targets, with many intercepted, after days of Israeli attacks on Hezbollah in Lebanon. A terrorist attack in Tel Aviv resulted in six casualties according to Israeli police.
