Former New York Governor David Paterson and his stepson were attacked in Manhattan by individuals who had a previous interaction with the stepson. Both Paterson and his stepson went to the hospital as a precaution after the attack in East Harlem. They suffered injuries but were able to fight off their attackers. Paterson was lieutenant governor under Gov. Eliot Spitzer and became governor in 2008 after Spitzer resigned due to a scandal. The incident has been reported to the police, and both Paterson and the other man involved are in stable condition. No arrests have been made in connection with the attack, as the investigation is ongoing.
