Olentangy Liberty senior Olivia Aronhalt claimed victory at the Division I girls golf district tournament at the Links at Echo Springs, edging Olentangy junior Meadow Tian in a playoff. Aronhalt birdied the playoff hole to secure the win, with Tian finishing second and Worthington Kilbourne’s Isabella Anderson taking third. Despite Aronhalt’s strong performance, Liberty finished ninth overall.
Dublin Jerome won the district crown, with New Albany finishing second and earning a spot in the state showcase. Olentangy and Olentangy Orange both secured top-five finishes, with Olentangy coming in third and Orange finishing fourth. Olentangy Berlin finished 10th in the competition.
Pioneers Skylar Dean contributed to Orange’s strong showing with a 74, while Olentangy’s Jodie Han scored a 76. Other top scorers included Olivia Tang from Olentangy Berlin and Gracyn Alexander from Big Walnut.
This match concluded the season for Big Walnut’s Charlie Burgess, who finished with an 88, and saw Liberty’s Aronhalt shine as she secured the district title. The victory was a testament to Aronhalt’s skill and determination on the course, as she excelled in challenging conditions to claim the top spot.
