Adam Grimm, a talented artist and Ohio native, has once again made history by winning his third Federal Duck Stamp Art Contest. Grimm’s painting of a pair of spectacled eiders was chosen from a pool of 239 entries, showcasing his exceptional talent and dedication to wildlife conservation through art.
Having won his first Federal Duck Stamp Art Contest at the age of 21, Grimm’s talent was evident from the start. He has also been recognized three times in the Ohio Wetland Habitat Stamp Contest and has contributed artwork to various hunting and trapping regulations and the Ohio sportsmen’s vehicle license plate series.
The Federal Duck Stamp Contest has a long history dating back to 1934, while the Ohio Wetlands Habitat Stamp Contest has been running since 1982. Both stamps are required for those hunting waterfowl in Ohio, with proceeds going towards the acquisition, restoration, and protection of vital wetland habitats.
The upcoming waterfowl hunting seasons in Ohio are set to begin in October, with regulations and details available on the ODNR website, HuntFish OH app, and at license-selling locations. Grimm’s incredible artistry continues to make a positive impact on wildlife conservation efforts, with his dedication to capturing the beauty of nature through his paintings.
