The Delaware Duos at Wyalusing Rocket Courier: A Small World

The Delaware Duos, a virtual collaboration project between students from Wyalusing Area High School in Pennsylvania and a school in Delaware, have been creating powerful music together despite being miles apart. The project, initiated by Wyalusing music teacher Kelsey Gillette, aims to bring students together through music during the pandemic.

The project began with Wyalusing students submitting videos of themselves playing instruments, which were then matched with students from the other school to create duets. Despite not being able to practice together in person, the students recorded their parts separately and the videos were edited together to create cohesive performances.

The project has not only provided students with a creative outlet during a challenging time, but it has also helped them to connect with peers from a different state. The students have learned how to collaborate virtually, communicate effectively, and develop their musical skills in a unique way.

The Delaware Duos have received positive feedback from their school communities and beyond, with many people praising the students for their talent and creativity. The project has brought a sense of unity and connection to both schools, despite the physical distance between them.

As the Delaware Duos continue to create music together, they are inspiring others to find innovative ways to connect and collaborate during these difficult times. Through their dedication and passion for music, these students are proving that it truly is a small world after all.
