The Olentangy Liberty boys cross country team secured a first-place finish at the Division I, Section I district championship race, with three runners finishing in the top 10. Meanwhile, Olentangy Orange and Olentangy Berlin had strong showings in the Section 2 race, finishing second and sixth as a team. In Division II, Buckeye Valley placed seventh with Vander Webb finishing 26th. Delaware Christian’s Nate Tranel placed 18th in the Section 2 championship race. On the girls’ side, Liberty’s Elena Aldrink and Orange’s Brooke Chapman won individual championships at their respective district showcases, with their teams finishing second and third as a team. Big Walnut, Delaware Hayes, and Buckeye Valley also had solid performances in the girls’ races. In Division III, Delaware Christian’s Zoe Gyde and Moriah Mulligan competed in the Section 2 district championship race. Overall, the local teams showcased their talent and secured top finishes across various divisions at the district championship races in Hilliard. Their performances have earned them tickets to the regional showcase, where they will have the opportunity to compete against other top teams in the region.
