Early voting for the 2024 General Election in Delaware began with long lines at polling sites on Friday. The Delaware Dept. of Elections reported that 14,502 people had already cast their votes by 3pm, with Sussex County showing the highest activity with 8,865 early voters. In comparison, the Primary election in September saw 18,530 early voters over a 10-day period.
There are a total of 19 early voting locations across the state, with four in Kent County, six in New Castle County, and nine in Sussex County. Early voting hours are from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. until October 29, after which they will extend to 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. from October 30 to November 3. Early voters are allowed to vote at any location in their county of residence.
