GOLO Partners with Feeding America to Deliver 100,000 Meals to Those Affected by Disaster
NEWARK – In response to the recent disasters in North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida, GOLO has joined forces with Feeding America’s network of food banks to deliver 100,000 meals to aid relief and recovery efforts in the affected areas.
Jennifer Brooks, president and co-founder of GOLO, expressed sympathy for those impacted by the tragedies, stating, “The devastation experienced by these communities is truly heart-wrenching, and we are committed to providing assistance.”
The food donation will come from GOLO’s food line and will be distributed to various Feeding America network food bank partners, including Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina in Charlotte, NC, MANNA FoodBank of Asheville, NC, Second Harvest of South Georgia, and America’s Second Harvest of the Big Bend in Tallahassee, Florida.
Micah Chrisman, director of marketing and communications at MANNA FoodBank, expressed gratitude for the support, stating, “The outpouring of support means food banks affected by these disasters are getting back to work. We are grateful for the GOLO Foods donations, which help us provide immediate access to nutritious food to people in our community.”
