Reportedly, Oasis to cancel thousands of reunion tour tickets sold on the secondary market

Thousands of Oasis tickets on the secondary market will be relisted on Ticketmaster at face value, as reported by the BBC. 4% of the 1.4 million tickets sold for the band’s U.K. tour have ended up on resale sites, totaling over 50,000 tickets that will be canceled. Customers who believe their tickets were canceled in error can contact their ticket agent for an investigation. Oasis, Ticketmaster, and SJM Concerts have not commented on the situation. The band had previously announced that tickets for their reunion tour could only be resold at face value. This measure was put in place to combat ticket scalping, which has been a problem since the band announced their reunion after a 15-year feud between brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher.

Fans have struggled to secure tickets for the highly anticipated tour, with some seeing tickets listed for inflated prices on resale websites. In response, Oasis has taken steps to ensure tickets are in the hands of loyal fans rather than scalpers. Ticket sales for the U.S. leg of the tour were “fan-focused,” with a questionnaire and no dynamic pricing. Tickets for the Australian leg were also subject to resale restrictions. The tour will start in July 2025 in the U.K. and Ireland before moving to North America in late August, with shows in Toronto, Chicago, Los Angeles, Mexico City, and East Rutherford, New Jersey. Concertgoers hope these efforts will make tickets more accessible and affordable for true fans.
