Bank of Hawai’i Donates $6,000 to USO Guam to Support Service Members

Bank of Hawai’i recently demonstrated its commitment to supporting service members and their families by donating $6,000 to USO Guam on Oct. 3. This donation is a result of a longstanding partnership between the two organizations that has spanned over a decade.

Bank of Hawai’i, which has been serving communities for 125 years, focuses on stewardship and sustainability in order to enrich the lives of those in their community and help secure their future. By supporting USO Guam, the bank is investing in the lives of individuals serving in America’s military and their families.

Michael Sakazaki, senior vice president and senior market manager at Bank of Hawai’i, expressed the bank’s honor in supporting USO Guam and highlighted the important services that USO provides to service members and their families. USO Guam Area Director Jadine Lujan also expressed gratitude for the ongoing support from Bank of Hawai’i, emphasizing how the partnership enables USO Guam to enhance its programs and services for service members and their families.

USO Guam provides morale-boosting support through its centers and programming delivered throughout Guam and the CNMI. In 2023, the organization welcomed over 90,000 visits to its centers and provided programs attended by nearly 60,000 service and family members throughout the year.

With partners like Bank of Hawai’i, USO Guam can continue to adapt to the needs of service members and cultivate connections that ease the challenges of deployments and overseas duty.
