Press Release: Unclaimed Lottery Jackpots Spark Excitement in Delaware
Delaware lottery players are urged to check their tickets after several major prizes remain unclaimed, including a staggering $4 million Mega Millions ticket. The winning ticket, purchased at Redner’s Market in Camden, dates back to the August 20, 2024 drawing.
In addition to the Mega Millions jackpot, there are multiple $10,000-winning tickets also awaiting claim. One of these was bought at Wawa in Milford for the August 30 drawing, while the other was purchased at Buyrite Liquors in New Castle for the January 19 drawing.
Powerball enthusiasts should also take note. A $100,000 winning ticket sold at Fenwick Island’s Goose Creek is yet to be claimed from the August 19, 2024 drawing, alongside a $50,000 ticket from Shore Stop in Middletown, which was purchased for the March 9, 2023 drawing.
For Keno players, a winning ticket worth $10,000 purchased at Jack’s Country Maid in Kirkwood remains unclaimed from the September 17, 2024 drawing.
To claim a prize, ticket holders are reminded to sign the back of their tickets to establish ownership. Prizes under $600 can be redeemed at various Delaware lottery retailers or local offices, while larger prizes require a trip to the Delaware Lottery Office in Dover. Valid identification, such as a photo ID and Social Security card, is necessary for claiming prizes over $5,000.
Lottery winners have one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes, so any Delaware ticket holders are encouraged to check their tickets promptly for a chance at a life-changing jackpot.
