The No. 15/18 University of Richmond football team handed Delaware its first loss of the season with a 28-9 victory. Richmond improved to 5-2 (3-0 CAA) while Delaware fell to 6-1 (3-1 CAA). This was the final conference game between the two teams before they move to different conferences in 2025. Richmond dominated the first half, scoring four touchdowns, while the defense held Delaware to just nine points. Quarterback Camden Coleman led the offense with 194 passing yards and two touchdowns, as well as 79 rushing yards. Richmond’s defense, led by Carter Glassmyer and Galloway, made critical stops and forced turnovers. The offense picked up 378 yards compared to Delaware’s 324, and Richmond controlled the time of possession throughout the game. Richmond’s win streak now stands at five games as they prepare to face Bryant next Saturday. The victory over Delaware, who had been averaging over 42 points per game, showcased Richmond’s strong offense and defense working in sync to secure a crucial win.
