Delaware I-95 truck crash sparks chaos before Thanksgiving – NBC10 Philadelphia

A dump truck crash on the morning of the day before Thanksgiving caused major traffic disruptions in Delaware. The accident, which occurred at the interchange for Interstate 95 and Route 141 in New Castle County, led to the closure of several key roads, including I-95 southbound at West Basin Road southbound off-ramp, Route 141 northbound over I-95, and the Route 13 southbound exit to I-295 southbound.

There is no information yet on any injuries from the crash. The incident caused traffic to back up for up to a mile, and commuters were advised to seek alternative routes to avoid delays. NBC10 First Alert Traffic reporter Matt DeLucia recommended using routes 2 and 7 and other surface roads to navigate around the crash site. As Thanksgiving is one of the busiest travel days of the year, the timing of the crash added to the congestion on the roads. The situation is ongoing, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
