Smyrna, Lake Forest, and Hodgson scored crucial victories as the playoff race heats up in Delaware. With the 3A and 2A playoffs in full swing, several games are set to have a significant impact on the postseason picture.
In the 3A division, Salesianum defeated Middletown 38-7, Hodgson emerged victorious over Appoquinimink with a score of 21-7, and William Penn narrowly edged out Saint Mark’s 14-13. Sussex Central dominated Dover with a 55-30 win, while Smyrna emerged victorious over Cape Henlopen with a 46-20 victory.
In the 2A division, Caravel shut out Concord 42-0, Delmar defeated Laurel 18-6, and Sussex Tech held off Milford with a 34-27 win. Other notable results include Howard’s 38-0 win over Archmere, Friends defeating Mount Pleasant 38-13, and Indian River’s dominant 60-0 victory over Saint Andrew’s.
Additionally, Conrad secured a convincing 69-13 win over Early College, Tatnall defeated Saint Elizabeth 44-6, and Charter of Wilmington narrowly defeated McKean 7-6. Glasgow shut out A.I. duPont with a score of 40-0, and First State Military defeated Brandywine 27-13.
