Tarleton Women’s Basketball continues their winning streak at the Big Easy Classic with a 54-40 victory over Delaware. This marks their second straight game holding their opponent under 45 points, a first in the Division I era. Sophomore center Faith Acker led the charge with a double-double, while senior guard Jakoriah Long contributed a season-high 16 points.
The Texans displayed a strong defense and controlled the game throughout, opening up a double-digit lead in the third quarter. Tarleton State has now won four out of their last five games and is averaging just 46.5 points per game given up to opponents during this stretch.
