Delaware is honoring its history with the launch of the Delaware Day Adventure, a contest organized by the Division of Historical and Cultural Affairs. Participants are encouraged to visit five historic museums across the state to collect stamps in a special passport for a chance to win prizes. The contest coincides with Delaware Day, which marks the state’s historic ratification of the U.S. Constitution in 1787.
Visitors can earn entries into the contest by visiting at least two museums, with additional entries granted for each additional museum visited, up to a maximum of four entries per person. Prizes include restaurant gift certificates and special museum experiences. The participating museums include the New Castle Court House Museum, the Old State House, the Johnson Victrola Museum, the John Dickinson Plantation, and the Zwaanendael Museum.
Passports are available at the museums or can be downloaded online, with completed passports due by December 28. Winners will be randomly selected and notified by January 10, 2025. For more information and contest details, visit the Delaware Department of State’s website.
