Sussex Central fullback Malik Bell has been recognized for his outstanding performance on the football field by being named to the All-Class selections for the 2024 season. Bell, who plays for the Golden Knights, was selected as the offensive player of the year for Class 3A after rushing for over 2,000 yards during his senior season. Alongside Bell, Robbie “R-J” Johnson and Jase Munson were chosen as the lineman and defensive player of the year, respectively.
State champions Caravel Academy and Indian River also had standout players recognized in the All-Class teams. Caravel Academy’s Josh Roy and James Steel were named offensive and defensive players of the year in Class 2A, while Cael DeNigris from DMA was honored as lineman of the year. Indian River’s Darnell Stokes and Nolan Staniszewski received recognition in 1A as the offensive player and lineman of the year, with Charlie Shute from Conrad named as the defensive player of the year.
The Coaches of the Year will be announced at the DIFCA banquet in early 2025. The All-Class selections showcase the talent and hard work of high school football players in Delaware, highlighting their contributions to their teams’ success during the 2024 season.
