Delaware General Election Day is on November 2nd, with polls open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voters must go to their assigned polling place, which can be found on the State of Delaware website. Identification is required to vote, and voters can find their sample ballot online to see their options, including statewide and downballot races.
Voting machines will be touch screen, with the option to vote for one candidate in each race from up to five parties. While over a quarter of voters have already submitted their ballots through early voting or absentee, there may still be lines on Election Day. Absentee ballots must be hand-delivered to the Department of Elections Office by 8 p.m. to count. Results of the Delaware races are expected to be known by late evening on Election Day.
Live coverage of the major Delaware races will be provided by WDEL and CBS News on Election Night. The state will activate a link on their website after 8 p.m. for the latest updates. With historically high voter turnout in Delaware, voters are encouraged to plan ahead and allow for extra time at the polls on Election Day.
