A car collision in Sussex County is currently being investigated by the Delaware State Police. The incident occurred on Sunday night around 5:07pm when a Toyota 4-Runner traveling northbound on Dupont Boulevard in Selbyville left the roadway, struck a utility pole, and overturned. The driver, a 20-year-old man from Laurel, and a passenger, a 44-year-old woman also from Laurel, both sustained serious injuries and were taken to area hospitals. The reasons for the vehicle leaving the roadway are currently unknown and the investigation is ongoing. As more information becomes available, updates will be provided.
