Delaware Township couple sustains injuries in house fire | Local news and updates

A devastating fire broke out at the home of Dale and Tamela Chomas in Watsontown, quickly consuming both their two-story house and a pool house on Wednesday afternoon. The couple managed to escape the flames, but was later taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation. Firefighters from multiple departments responded to the scene, but the strong winds made the situation challenging and caused the fire to spread rapidly. A state police fire marshal later determined that the blaze started in the home and spread to the pool house due to the wind direction.

This incident marked the third house fire in Warrior Run Area’s primary fire district that month, with the fire chief expressing concern over the increase in incidents. The investigation into the cause of the fire is still ongoing. Despite the devastating loss of their home, the Chomas family is grateful to have survived the incident.
