Delaware victims of Washington D.C. mid-air collision to be honored at memorial service


Tomorrow at 10 a.m., a memorial service will be held at the Fred Rust Ice Arena in Newark to honor three individuals who tragically lost their lives in a plane crash near Washington Reagan National Airport. The service will honor Sean Kay and Angela Yang, young figure skaters from Delaware, as well as former University of Delaware coach Alexandr “Sasha” Kirsanov.

For those unable to attend in person, a Zoom link will be available for remote viewing. The community is invited to come together to remember and pay tribute to these individuals who made a significant impact in the world of figure skating. The University of Delaware campus, where the arena is located, is expected to come together to support one another during this difficult time.
