Applications for 2025 EDGE Grant competition now open in Delaware

The Delaware Division of Small Business is currently accepting applications for the 2025 EDGE Grant Competition, aimed at helping early-stage small businesses grow and expand. The program offers grants to small businesses operating for fewer than seven years with 10 or fewer full-time employees, with a focus on STEM-based companies and Entrepreneur Class businesses. Businesses must be at least 51% located in Delaware and matching funds are required for award recipients.

The application period is from Feb. 1 to Feb. 28, with up to $100,000 available for STEM-based companies and up to $50,000 for other industries. Funding can cover expenses such as equipment purchases, infrastructure improvements, website development, and marketing campaigns. The program has awarded $7.25 million to 110 small businesses since its launch in 2019 and aims to support more businesses, especially in Kent and Sussex Counties.

Business owners can find applications and informational resources on the DSB website and will undergo evaluation and pitching processes before winners are selected. DSB’s Regional Business Managers are available to provide assistance throughout the application process.
