Tribe’s comeback efforts come up short in 74-64 loss to Delaware


In a hard-fought game, William & Mary fell to Delaware 74-64 on Saturday afternoon. Senior Gabe Dorsey led the Tribe with 19 points, while juniors Chase Lowe and Kyle Pulliam contributed 12 and 10 points, respectively. Despite trailing by 17 points in the first half, William & Mary mounted a comeback, even briefly taking the lead in the second half. However, Delaware responded with a 10-2 run to secure the win.

Delaware’s Cavan Reilly led the way with 18 points, while John Camden added 17 points and eight rebounds. Trent Middleton Jr. posted a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds. William & Mary shot 33% from the field and 29% from three-point range, while Delaware shot 46.6% from the field and 30.8% from three.

This loss drops William & Mary to 14-11 (8-4 CAA) on the season. Despite the defeat, the Tribe showed resilience and fought back throughout the game, displaying a strong defensive effort.
