However, concerns have been raised about the financial implications of such legislation, especially given uncertainties at the federal level.
Governor Meyer, a former math teacher, emphasized the importance of addressing the inequities in education funding, stating that resources are not currently being distributed in a fair and equitable manner. With a heightened sense of accountability and a commitment to improving the education system, Meyer is pushing for swift action to implement a new funding system by 2025.
