West Delaware and Independence bowlers excel at WaMaC Conference Tournament – Mix 94.7 KMCH


The West Delaware Girls and Boys Bowling teams competed at the WaMaC Conference Tournament at Berry Lanes in Vinton last Friday. The girls team finished 4th out of 5 teams with Natalie Palmer leading the Hawks with a score of 568. The boys team finished 2nd with Brady Hartke winning the individual championship with a score of 689. Hayden Tucker and Ethan Sellers also had strong performances for the Hawks.

Vinton-Shellsburg took first place in both girls and boys team competitions, with Independence finishing as the runner-up in the girls competition and 3rd in the boys competition. Other teams competing were Benton Community, Marion, and the Mustangs.

Emma Gonzalez, Carlie Hanson, and Addison Lamphier led the way for Independence on the girls side, while Michael Decker was the top bowler for the Mustangs on the boys side. Overall, the tournament was a showcase of talent from schools across the WaMaC Conference.

The Hawks and other teams will look to build on their performances as they continue their seasons. With strong individual performances and team efforts, the future looks bright for these talented bowlers.
