The FIU baseball team continued their successful season with a 6-2 victory over Delaware. The Panthers are now 6-0, their best start since 2022 and under head coach Rich Witten. FIU took control early with a three-run first inning and added more runs in the fourth and eighth innings. Delaware responded with a run in the second and seventh innings, but FIU remained in control. Shortstop Kareh Valentin sealed the win with a home run in the eighth inning. Pitcher Owen Puk had a solid start, while Juan Villarreal and Tracen Cameron also performed well on the mound. Brylan West and Javier Crespo contributed to the offense with multi-hit performances. The Panthers look to continue their winning streak in the remaining games of the three-game series. The next game is on February 22 at 5 p.m. and will be streamed live on ESPN+.
