DeSean Jackson Leads Delaware State Football Team in 120th Season
Delaware State University is gearing up for an exciting football season under the leadership of head coach DeSean Jackson. The Hornets will kick off their 12-game schedule with six home games and six away contests, including six Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference matchups.
The season opener on August 28 will see the Hornets facing off against in-state rival Delaware. Following this game, they will host Albany and Bowie State on back-to-back Saturdays at home. The team will then hit the road for three weeks to take on regional non-conference opponents before returning home for an HBCU Homecoming matchup against Southern Connecticut State on October 11.
Coach Jackson and his team will continue their season with MEAC play, including a highly anticipated matchup against Norfolk State and head coach Michael Vick. The season will conclude with two home games against Howard and South Carolina State in November.
Delaware State University football fans can expect a special announcement regarding season tickets on February 24. With a blend of home and away games, as well as key matchups against conference rivals and notable opponents, the Hornets are poised for an exciting and competitive season under Coach Jackson’s leadership.
