Latham Man Arrested Twice in One Week for Meth Possession and Assault of Police Officer
On January 14, a Latham man, Joel Tuberville, was arrested in Delmar for assaulting a police officer during a traffic stop. It took three officers to subdue him, and he was found in possession of methamphetamine. Two days later, Tuberville was arrested again in Colonie for an incident at his former apartment and for missing a court date related to a domestic incident in October.
During the Delmar arrest, Tuberville swerved his car toward an officer before being apprehended after a struggle. He was found with methamphetamine in his possession and was charged with multiple offenses. Tuberville later faced additional charges in Colonie, including burglary and criminal mischief.
Tuberville has upcoming court appearances in Bethlehem and Colonie for his various charges. The Albany County District Attorney’s office is also charging him with bail jumping. Tuberville’s behavior has resulted in multiple arrests and legal issues in the local area.
