Young people in Albany are practicing healthy lifestyle choices.

The Junior League of Albany recently hosted a successful event called “Kids in the Kitchen” at the Albany Mall. The event aimed to educate children and their parents about making healthy lifestyle choices. Families had the opportunity to visit different stations throughout the mall, including a cooking class showcasing how to make easy, healthy snacks, a station emphasizing body positivity and exercise, and another station demonstrating how to plant vegetable seeds in a garden.

Organizer Cat Saunders highlighted the importance of supporting youth in making good choices, promoting healthy eating and exercise within the community. Attendees praised the event for providing a unique and beneficial experience for families in the area, as Albany doesn’t often have many events catering to the youth. The event received positive feedback and was well attended, indicating a need for more similar events in the future.

Due to the success and community interest in the event, the Junior League of Albany plans to host similar events in the future.
