The Delaware County Times has updated their obituary submission process. Obituaries can be submitted by email to Obit@delcotimes.com on Saturday, Sunday, and holidays with no proofs provided. Proofs will be given for accuracy only on weekdays and must be submitted by 4:00 pm. Pricing information will be available after 10:00 am the next business day.
Email is the preferred method for submissions, but formatting will remain the same as current obituaries. Funeral homes and private parties are required to prepay for submissions, with payments only accepted during the week from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. New accounts and out-of-state funeral homes must also prepay upon approval of the obituary.
If the deadline is missed, the obituary will not be published in the following edition of the paper. Submissions must be made before 4:00 pm Monday through Friday, and prepayment is required for weekend and holiday submissions.
