UMBC Baseball team secures America East series victory over UMass Lowell with a dramatic comeback. Anthony Mascuilli’s game-winning double in the bottom of the ninth helped the Retrievers clinch their first conference series win of the year. Despite rallying in game two, UMBC fell short to UMass Lowell. The team will play a pair of midweek non-conference games against Coppin State and Delaware State before returning to conference play. In another game, Coppin State’s baseball team was edged 3-2 in the Seattle HBCU Series finale by Seattle University, completing a three-game sweep. Delaware State is coming off an NEC series defeat against Mercyhurst, with a win in game one but losses in the final two games of the series. The Retrievers are hopeful to carry their momentum into their upcoming games and continue to build on their success from the previous series win. Catch their next games at home against Delaware State on Wednesday at 3 p.m.
